Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible for your data

OM1 is operated by Hema Kumar, an individual based in Texas, USA, who is responsible for the personal information described here. Contact: padamatihemakumar6@outlook.com.

2. What we collect

• Account details: your name, email address, and password (stored securely by our sign-in provider, never in readable form).
• Job preferences: target role, location, job types, workplace preferences, application mode, and thresholds.
• Your resume: the file you upload, the text we read from it, and the analysis (skills, experience, ATS score). If you edit your resume in OM1, we save your edits.
• Application profile (optional): details you choose to save for filling out applications, such as phone number, links, salary expectations, education, and ready-made answers.
• Work authorization: your status and whether you need sponsorship. Used only to label jobs for you, never to score them.
• Voluntary self-identification (optional): gender, ethnicity, veteran status, and disability status, only if you choose to enter them. Every question includes “Prefer not to say”.
• Activity in OM1: saved jobs, skipped jobs, applications you track, interview times, alerts, and settings.
• Billing: your plan and subscription status. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us.
• Technical data: basic logs such as IP address, browser type, and error reports, used to keep OM1 secure and working.

3. How we use it

• To find jobs for you and calculate your Match, Qualification Fit, and ATS scores.
• To show your dashboard, applications, alerts, resume tools, and application profile.
• To send emails you’ve turned on, like match digests, and essential emails like sign-up confirmation and password resets.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To keep OM1 secure, prevent abuse, fix problems, and improve features.
• To meet legal obligations.

Work authorization and voluntary self-identification answers are never used to score, rank, or filter jobs, and are never shown to anyone but you.

4. What we never do

• We don’t sell your personal information.
• We don’t send your resume or profile to employers. You decide what to share when you apply.
• We don’t submit job applications on your behalf.
• We don’t share your voluntary self-identification answers with anyone.

5. Who we share data with

Only with service providers that help run OM1, and only what they need to do their job:

• Supabase: our database, sign-in, and secure file storage (your resume).
• Vercel: hosting for the OM1 website.
• Stripe: payment processing and billing.
• Our email provider, if you receive emails from OM1.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect people’s safety, or as part of a sale or transfer of OM1 (in which case this policy would continue to apply to your data).

6. Advertising (Free plan)

OM1’s Free plan may include ads in the future. We don’t show ads today. Before we do, we’ll update this policy to name the ad provider, explain what information ads use, and tell you your choices. Paid plans are ad-free.

7. Cookies and similar technology

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and secure. We store small preferences in your browser, like light or dark mode. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies today. If that changes, we’ll update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.

8. How long we keep data

• While your account is open, we keep your data so OM1 works for you.
• When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your profile, resume, drafts, application profile, and activity within 30 days.
• We may keep limited records longer where the law requires (for example payment and tax records) or to resolve disputes.
• Job postings are public information and are removed from OM1 after they close.

9. Your choices and rights

• Update your profile, preferences, and application profile anytime in the app.
• Replace your resume or edit it in OM1 whenever you like.
• Turn email alerts and digests on or off in Settings.
• Skip any optional question, including all voluntary self-identification questions.
• Ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion by emailing padamatihemakumar6@outlook.com from your account’s email address. We’ll respond within 30 days.

10. Security

Your data is encrypted in transit. Resumes are stored in private storage. Database rules make sure each person can only access their own information. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data and will notify you as required by law if a breach affects you.

11. Children

OM1 is for people 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, email us and we’ll delete it.

12. Where data is processed

OM1 is operated from the United States, and our providers process data in the United States. By using OM1, you understand your information will be processed there.

13. Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes, we’ll email you or show a notice in the app before they take effect. The effective date at the top always shows the latest version.
